Christians and Muslims differentiate opinions on their insight of God.  For the great multitudes of people who are deep in there Faith, throughout the world, this is an article not to change minds but for us to understand both Faiths.  Muslims believe in Allah and Muhammad as the prophet. Christians, believe in the grace of my Lord and Savior, the Messiah Jesus Christ. In my walk with Christ and my studying of the Bible, I do not think Islam is the truth and that’s my personal belief. I say this outright so that no Muslim will accuse me of being deceptive or having a hidden agenda. Please take note that I have no disrespect toward Islam, Muhammad, Muslims, or the Koran. Muslims have never wronged me and I have had no personal experience as a child or a man involving anyone Muslim.  I realize that there are many good Muslims in the world who are peaceful, honest, compassionate, and who desire to serve God in truth. I am not here to produce a false image of Islam. I only ask that you let me know through e-mail at donpeters@cypha360.com in regards to the subjects comparing both Holy books. The difference of opinion on a matter does not warrant a correction.  But, if I have provided falsified facts, definition, dates, or doctrines of Islam, I would value being corrected.

Is Jesus the Son of God?

Bible: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(John 3:16).

Koran:Futher that he may warn those who say, “Allah hath begotten a son. No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Its is a grievous thing that issued from their mouths as a saying. What they say is nothing but falsehood.
(Sura 18:4,5)

Seals of the prophets:

Bible: And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams; your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
(Joel 2:28-29).

Koran: Mohammed is not the father of any man among you, but he is the Apostle of God, and the seal of the prophets: and God knoweth all
things." (Sura 33:40)

What belongs too the son:

Bible: All things that the Father has are mine. (John 16:15).O righteous Father! The world has not known you, but I have known you; and these have known that you sent Me. (John 17:25). As the Father knows me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. (John 10:15)."All things have been delivered to me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him."
(Matthew 11:27).

Koran:   Glory be unto Thee! It is not for me to say that which I know to be not the truth; had I said that, verily thou wouldest have known it: Thou knowest what is in me, but I know not what is in Thee; for Thou well knowest things unseen. I spake not to them aught but that which thou didst bid me. Worship God, my Lord and your Lord;" and I was a witness of their actions while I stayed among them; but since thou hast taken me to Thyself, Thou hast thyself watched them, and Thou art witness of all things.
          (Sura 5:116-117).

The Decree

Bible: Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree. The LORD has said to Me, You are My Son, today I have begotten you.
(Psalm 2:6-7).

Koran: when the angel said, O Mary! Verily God announceth to thee the Word from Him: His name shall be, Messiah Jesus the son of Mary, illustrious in this world, and in the next, and one of those who have near access to God.
(Sura 3:40).

            Conclusion
The Bible mentions nothing of the Koran, the Koran says a great deal about the Bible and Jesus. The claim that the Koran confirms prior scripture is a true claim, because Mohammed recommends his followers to investigate what he is telling them by inspecting prior scripture. Unfortunately, people have been following this advice for more than a millennium and many have died as a result because when the People of the Book fail to affirm the Koran's consistency with Bible truth, the Muslims are prone to start killing them. Mohammed did not take it wellwhen the Jews of Medina told him so, nor have his followers ever taken it well.
